After taking a night train down the west coast, or Konkan Coast, we drove inland through the state of Kerala back to Kodaikanal. I took pictures out of the window of the car. At one point we were stuck in traffic on the main road of a smallish town, while we were almost stopped I took a lot of pictures of the store fronts. We also passed a truck carrying a remarkably calm elephant. We also stopped at the base of the Kodai hills for some tea and stumbled across a herd of grazing water buffalo.
